Scoresby Uniting Church

Scoresby is a diverse and welcoming church for all people

About our congregation

Scoresby Uniting Church is a small, friendly church nestled in the heart of Scoresby Shopping Village. Our church building has served as a place of worship for more than 150 years. Our congregation is committed to creating a welcoming, inclusive, and safe environment for all who walk through our doors. We aim to be a faithful Christian community, serving God by putting love into action in our neighbourhood.

We are members of the Knox Uniting Church Cluster enabling us to collaborate and share resources and offer a wider range of programs and support to our members and the community. Rev Russell Croxford is the Cluster’s full-time minister.

In addition to our regular worship services, we provide a monthly community lunch (1st Sunday of month). a Drop-in and food relief program twice a week (Tuesday and Thursday), a weekly Art Group (Wednesday) and a monthly prayer group (1st Tuesday of the month).

At Scoresby Uniting Church, we embrace the values of love, acceptance, and service, and we invite you to join us in our journey of faith, fellowship, and making a positive impact in the lives of others.

Scoresby Uniting Church acknowledges that we are on the traditional land of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation, and we pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging.

We invite you to our worship services held at Scoresby on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month, from 10.00 – 11.00am, followed by morning tea and an opportunity to chat and support each other.  Our services are coordinated by members of the congregation, with the message provided by our cluster minister Rev Russell Croxford or by guest preachers.

On the 1st Sunday of the month we have a shared community lunch at Scoresby at 12.00pm, where all are welcome.

On the 3rd Sunday of the month, Scoresby joins with the Rowville congregation at the Rowville Uniting Church for a shared communion service led by Rev Russell Croxford.

When there is a 5th Sunday in a month, we have a combined cluster service at one of the five Knox Cluster Churches.

We strive to create an inclusive environment where all feel welcome, regardless of background or level of faith experience. Through our worship, we aim to deepen our relationship with God, nurture our spiritual lives, and grow together as a community of faith.
